Declaration of Conformity for CE Marking

 

This is a written document in which the manufacturer or their authorised EU representative declares that the marketed product complies with all the essential requirements of the different applicable directives. Signing this document authorises the placement of the CE Marking on the product when indicated as such by the directive.

Details to be included in the Declaration of Conformity for CE Marking (see ISO/EN 17050) 

 

  • Name and address of the manufacturer or their authorised EU representative.

  • Description of the product (sufficiently detailed so that it is easy to identify the specimens covered: brand, model, etc.).

  • Relevant regulations that the product complies with (New Approach Directives).

  • Reference to the harmonised standards used (it is also possible to include other technical standards or specifications that have been used).

  • Name of the Notified Bodies that have been involved in assessing the product’s conformity.

  • Number/s of CE type certificates, where necessary.

  • In the case of an importer or marketer, name and company name.

  • Full name and position of signatory.

  • Date.
