AT4 wireless offers RoHS testing services

|October 03, 2013 | AT4 wireless expands its offer to manufacturers and importers of electric and electronics equipment, testing according to 2011/65/CE European directive, which repeals the earlier (2002/95/CE) and stands for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in this type of equipment.

Since the beginning of 2013 all electrical and electronic equipment must satisfy the requirements of the RoHS Directive to mark CE and gain access to the European market. In addition the new directive extends the scope to new sectors from July 2014.

The previous directive, 2002/95/CE (RoHS I),  has been updated with 2011/65/CE (RoHS II) Directive and incorporated to CE marking figure  for most of electric equipment.  In this way, the use of Hazardous Substances is restricted (Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent and brominated compounds: PBB and PBDE).

AT4 wireless Laboratory offers screening services of each one of the elements of the electric-electronic equipment. Adding RoHS to the portfolio of AT4 wireless’ services means one more step in the Laboratory commitment with the industry in the field of testing and certification for more than 20 years.
