AT4 wireless opens new acoustic testing laboratory

| 7th March, 2015 | AT4 wireless, a DEKRA company, is pleased to announce the opening of its new acoustic testing facilities in Spain compliant with the requirements from IEC 60118-0, -1, -2, -6 y -15, and NR Hearing aids 7th edition standards.

AT4 wireless new acoustic facilities established in Malaga (Spain) have been accredited by ENAC to test according to IEC 60118-0, -1, -2, -6 y -15, for measurement of the performance characteristics of hearing aids, and NR Hearing aids 7th edition standards, for type testing and evaluation of hearing aids with acoustic output.

The new testing facility includes a fully anechoic room providing the required acoustic free field conditions and isolation, and specific test equipment for acoustic measurements.

These new facilities have been designed to offer a comprehensive suite of services for acoustic testing and specially focused on the hearing instruments industry, providing to clients the expected quality of service and faster execution times.

In addition, the hearing instruments industry is facing the challenge to integrate wireless technologies into their products, being required to comply with new qualification and certification processes. In this new scenario, AT4 wireless can provide a complete services´ offer for the hearing instrument market including EMC, RF, Bluetooth SIG (including low energy), electrical safety, medical device registration and international type approvals.
