Area of ​​application

1. This Directive shall apply to pesticides which are plant protection products as defined in Article 3(10)(a).

2. This Directive shall apply without prejudice to any other relevant Community legislation.

3. The provisions of this Directive shall not prevent Member States from applying the precautionary principle by limiting or prohibiting the use of pesticides in specific areas or circumstances.
