AT4 wireless recognized as TCB by the FCC for the US market

Completes an exceptional services offer in International Type Approval services for radio devices

| 23 February, 2016 | Málaga (Spain). AT4 wireless, a DEKRA company, is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB), expanding its services in the field of international certification.

Recognition by the FCC took place last January 20th 2016, after AT4 wireless competence was assessed, through an accreditation and designation process by ENAC (Spanish National Accreditation Body) and the Spanish Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society.

Manufacturers of radio electric equipment wishing to commercialize their devices in the United States market, not only need to test their products in an FCC authorized laboratory, but also need to be certified by FCC (Federal Communications Commission) as a guarantee that the equipment complies with FCC requirements.

As a TCB, AT4 wireless is able to evaluate and review certification requests received from its customers in order to approve their equipment´s compliance with  FCC  administrative and technical requirements. AT4 wireless now has the authority to issue the certification which demonstrates compliance with these requirements, providing its clients equipment with a faster and more efficient  access to the USA market.

“We are very pleased to receive this important recognition by the FCC. This is excellent news, our customers will benefit from a more complete services offer. In fact, AT4 wireless is corroborating its leading position in the International Type Approvals market. This new service, together with the wide range of certification services that our new shareholder, DEKRA, provides to our customers, makes our international certification services offer an exceptional choice.” says Fernando E. Hardasmal, Managing Director at AT4 wireless, S.A.U., a DEKRA company.
